Try these this tips yo get close your open pores on face:

  • Heat some water to the point it lets out a sufficient amount of steam. Make sure the water is not boiling or too hot as this could end up causing more damage to your skin than healing it. Place your head over the water and drape a towel over your head to prevent a significant amount of stem from escaping. This part of the process will help to clean skin pores and the heat will create sweat, which in turn will flush the pores on your face. Once this is done, the pores and clean. Take a facecloth and pour some lemon juice over it. Put this facecloth over your face for about a minute. Since lime is a natural bleaching agent, it will help lighten up the overall tone of your skin as well as tighten the skin. Once your pores are sufficiently clean and tight, apply an ice cube over your pores, keeping it in each location for about 15 to 30 seconds.
  • The juices of pineapple, peaches and papaya are also very good in dealing with pores. If you start to use powdered orange peel instead of soap, you will start to see quite remarkable results
  • Tomato juice to which a few drops of lime juice has been added. Apply on open pores for 20 minutes. Wash with cold water.

  • Vegetables and fruits with astringent qualities will help smoothen and even out the skin texture and reduce the open pores. Create a mixture using a few drops of lime juice and some tomato juice and apply this on the open pores and let it rest for about 20 minutes before washing it off with cold water.
  •  The juice or pulp of Pineapple and Peaches and Papaya are very good. Always wash your face with cold water after steaming. In humid weather wash the face 2-3 times with cold water. If you have powdered orange peel, use this in place of soap.

Latest and beautiful hair trends to enhance your beauty:

Follow these easy tips to make your hands look gorgeous:

Clean your hands. Grab a toothbrush and squirt some soap on it, then rub it in. Leave it next to you. Wash your hands in warm water, not cold or scalding. Use a good quality soap. Rub the soap everywhere: your wrists, in between your fingers, and the area around your nails. Wash the soap off, and then use the soapy toothbrush to scrub the actual nail and the dirt under it. Then make small circular movements around your whole hand with the toothbrush. This gets the hand really clean and makes dead skin disappear. If you have nail polish on, remove it before washing your hands.

Gently pat your hands dry

Use a clean, preferably fluffy, towel. Don't make them starch dry; leave them a little moist. Don't put on any lotion or clip your nails just yet.

Massage your hands

Search for something to massage your hands with. Almost anything will do: massaging lotion, olive oil, yogurt, warm milk, even lemon juice. Rub a little on your palms and use it to massage the whole hand. Massage slowly; don't rush. Just relax and make sure you actually enjoy this step—that's pretty much the whole point. Rinse off whatever you used with warm water. If you used olive oil or something that can be rubbed in, just leave it in—it'll treat your skin. If you used a lot of yogurt or milk, wash away a little bit and rub in the rest. Don't scrub your hands and wash them thoroughly, completely washing away what you used to massage your hands (that'll make them feel tight and dry).

 Rub in some lotion

You might want to use face cream if you want. Some good brands are Sorbolene (it's great on dry and peeling skin), Dermaveen (again, for dry and peeling skin), and the new Vaseline range. Do it properly: don't slather on the whole lot, but use enough to really get deep down.

 Trim your nails

Thoroughly clean the undersides of your nails before clipping the nails: make sure that there isn't any dirt left. It's best to keep them short, which looks neat and is easier to manage. Try to cut all your nails the same length and shape. If you need to, file them afterward. Rub in some cuticle cream on each nail. If you don't have any cuticle cream, use lip balm instead. Leave the cream in for twenty minutes.

 Paint your nails

Grab your favourite colour if you're going out. If you're not going out or doing anything special, just use a clear gloss. Your nails really need a break from strong nail polish, or they may get weak or turn yellow. Some nice colours for your hands would be a pearly pink, deep red, or a natural colour. Metallic, glittery and shiny nail polish is very cool too. If you're painting your nails using an actual colour, make sure to sandwich the colours between a thick coat of clear polish, to protect and add shine. How many layers you paint is totally up to you, and depends on the thickness of the polish. Once you're done, wait for your nails to dry. Be careful. If you can, slip on a pair of gloves to lock in all the moisture and protect your hands for a little while. Do this repeatedly if necessary for best results.

Allergic contact dermatitis:

Poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac are plants that can cause a skin rash called allergic contact dermatitis when they touch your skin. The red, uncomfortable, and itchy rash often shows up in lines or streaks and is marked by fluid-filled bumps (blisters) or large raised areas . It is the most common skin problem caused by contact with plants (plant dermatitis)
Allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) is a delayed type of induced sensitivity (allergy) resulting from cutaneous contact with a specific allergen to which the patient has developed a specific sensitivity. This allergic reaction causes inflammation of the skin manifested by varying degrees of erythema, edema, and vesiculation.
The term contact dermatitis sometimes is used incorrectly as a synonym for allergic contact dermatitis. Contact dermatitis is inflammation of the skin induced by chemicals that directly damage the skin and by specific sensitivity in the case of allergic contact dermatitis.

Treatment:

Topical corticosteroids are the mainstay of treatment, while a variety of symptomatic treatments can provide short-term relief of pruritus. However, the definitive treatment of allergic contact dermatitis is the identification and removal of any potential causal agents; otherwise, the patient is at increased risk for chronic or recurrent dermatitis. Online resources allow the physician to create a list of products free of allergens to which the patient is allergic.

  •  Shape your eyebrows. If you aren't allowed to pluck, you can try to shape them with a wet Q-tip, or put gel on them to help them stay in place.
  •  Wash your eye area with cold water. This will help your eyes look refreshed and your face look awake.
  • Apply facial cream to your eyelids. But don't get it into your eyes!
  • Put Vaseline onto your fingertips. Then, put it on your eyelids. You might also want to apply a small amount of concealer to the area below your eyes to cover up any bags.
  • Now for the eyelashes. This part is really simple. Once again, apply Vaseline to your fingertips. Curl your lashes with the fingertips with Vaseline on it.
  •  For an extra gleaming effect, rub a light eyeshadow(beige, white, opal, brown, tan...) under lower lashes.
  • DO NOT pile your eyelashes with black or brown mascara, this can make it look totally unnatural.

Facial skin health

Tips for healthy skin:

Cleanse

It's that easy. You should wash your face morning and night with a gentle cleanser. Water alone cannot remove the grime that clogs pores. Some experts recommend using a lipid, or "soap-free cleanser" in order to remove dirt but retain the skin's natural radiance. You may need to look for a cleanser specific for your skin type (see Quick Tips). When drying your face, blot with a towel. \
Moisturizer
Healthy skin is hydrated skin. Apply a good moisturizer after cleansing your face and any other time your skin is feeling a little dry. At night the body regenerates the skin's natural oils; when the skin is too dry the body compensates by secreting more oils which could make your skin greasy and prone to blemish. Thus the moisturizer you use at night should be thicker, with more oil than your daily cream . But don't rely on moisturizers alone; dry skin is a good indication that your body is dehydrated and needs more water. Water is the best product for your face, and it's free.

Facial Masks.
There are different facial masks for different skin problems. Some claim to moisturize dry skin, other claim to erase wrinkles, while still others claim to eliminate blemishes. While these products may work, facial masks are described by many experts as the most optional step in a skin care regime. Regardless of how beneficial they are, applying a facial mask can be refreshing, giving you a moment to pamper yourself physically and mentally.
Steam Treatments.
A steam treatment not only hydrates the skin, but it opens pores and detoxifies. You could buy a facial steam bath from the department store or boil some distilled water at home, add various herbs and steep before draping a towel over your head as you sit above steaming water.
Water.
The importance of water can't be emphasized enough. If the body is dehydrated the skin is one of the first things to suffer. Excess dryness causes the skin to loose its elasticity, which in turn causes premature wrinkles. Drinking water also cleanses the body, washing away nasty toxins that might manifest themselves in your complexion. Drink at least eight glasses of water a day to assure your skin's health.
Sleep.
If we could wouldn't we all jump into bed this moment to begin a skin-friendly sleep marathon? Unfortunately routinely getting at least 8 hours of sleep is difficult. It is called beauty sleep for a reason; at night the body heals itself and the skin is no exception. With sufficient sleep the skin has more time to rejuvenate and you'll prevent those dark bags under the eyes and dry skin that can result from sleep deprivation.

Tips for fairer skin.

  • Soak 4 almonds overnight. Make a very fine paste with them, using milk to grind them.
  • Apply this paste on the neck and face before going to bed. Wash with cold water in the morning. Repeat daily for 15 days, followed by twice a week.

  • For dry skin you can use milk and honey combination. Mix them in equal amounts. Apply on the face and weight for 20 minutes. After that wash with water. This face mask will get you a fair and glowing skin. It is a great nourisher for dry skin. You can use it daily.

  • Take 1 tbsp of gram flour and 2 tsp of raw milk and 2-3 drops of lime juice. Mix well and apply. Wash after 15 minutes. Repeat for 4 weeks and follow up with once a week.

  • . Watermelon is also very soothing for sun tanned skin. Take watermelon juice 2 tbsp, cucumber juice 2 tbsp, yogurt 1 tbsp and milk powder 1 tbsp. Blend all the ingredients to make a paste. Watermelon clears blemishes and also act a toner. Cucumber helps in lightening the skin tone. Overall this face mask is very good to make your complexion fairer.

  • Grind a cup of mint leaves to a fine paste. Apply and leave for 20 minutes. Wash. Continue for 15 days.

  • Take 2 tbsp of potato juice and add 1 tbsp of lime juice in it. Apply on the face. Wash after 20 minutes with cold water. Excellent tip for fair skin. Can be used daily for oily skin. Add some drops of glycerine or honey if your skin is dry.

  • Grate a tomato. Add 2-3 drops of lime juice. Apply and wash after 20 minutes. Do this morning and evening for 15 - 20 days. Apply well on the neck area also.

  • Mash half a banana and add one tbsp of curd and one egg white to it. Mix well and apply on face and other body parts. Wash after 20 minutes. If you looking for a glow on your face in addition to fairness then go for it. Best among tips to get a fair and glowing skin.

  • In addition to this drink a lots of water. Include fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. What you eat shows on your face. So be choosy in your diet and apt for fresh fruits and vegetables instead of junk food.

Very simple and easy steps to get clean and even tone skin

Step 1

Exfoliate your skin daily to remove dead skin cells that can make patches of your skin appear darker than the rest. Simply mix 1 tbsp. of brown sugar and 1tbsp. of almond oil in a small bowl. Apply the exfoliator to your skin using your fingertips. Massage the exfoliator into your skin using a circular motion for five minutes. Remove the exfoliator with a warm water rinse.

Step 2

Apply lemon juice to your skin three times a week to reduce any dark pigmentation that makes your skin look uneven. Cut a lemon in half using a sharp knife. Squeeze the juice from the lemon half into a small bowl. Dip a cotton ball into the lemon juice. Massage the lemon juice into your skin. Do not rinse.

Step 3

Moisturize your skin daily using a coconut oil. Coconut oil contains fats and vitamins, which can help rehydrate and smooth your skin. Keep your skin well hydrated to reduce dry patches. Massage a dime-sized amount of coconut oil to your skin using your fingertips several times a day.

Shingles( Herpes zoster):

Shingles is caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox and can be spread to people who have not had chickenpox.
Shingles is a skin rash caused by a nerve and skin inflammation from the same virus that previously caused chickenpox. This virus is called the varicella zoster virus (VZV) and belongs to the herpes family of viruses. After an individual has chickenpox, this virus lives dormant in the nervous system and is never fully cleared from the body. Under certain circumstances, such as emotional stress, immune deficiency (from AIDS or chemotherapy), or with cancer, the virus reactivates and causes shingles. In most cases of shingles, however, a cause for the reactivation of the virus is never found. Anyone who has ever had chickenpox is at risk for the development of shingles, although it occurs most commonly in people over the age of 60. It has been estimated that up to 1,000,000 cases of shingles occur each year in the U.S.

Causes of Shingles:

A number of factors increase your risk of reactivating the dormant varicella zoster virus and developing shingles including:
  • Being an older adult with a history of having had chickenpox who has not gotten the shingles vaccination
  • Having a condition that weakens the immune system, such as HIV/AIDS, cancer, chemotherapy, or an organ transplant. Having a weakened or impaired immune system also increases the risk for having recurring episodes of shingles.
  • Recent illness
  • Stress

Treatment of Shingles:

There is no cure for shingles, but treatment may shorten the length of illness and prevent complications. Treatment options include:
  • Antiviral medicines to reduce the pain and duration of shingles.
  • Pain medicines, antidepressants, and topical creams to relieve long-term pain.

Psoriasis:

The name psoriasis is from Ancient Greek, meaning roughly "itching condition" (psora "itch" + -sis "action, condition").
Psoriasis  is an autoimmune disease that affects the skin. It occurs when the immune system mistakes the skin cells as a pathogen, and sends out faulty signals that speed up the growth cycle of skin cells. Psoriasis is not contagious. However, psoriasis has been linked to an increased risk of stroke, and treating high blood lipid levels may lead to improvement. There are five types of psoriasis: plaque, guttate, inverse, pustular, and erythrodermic.
Signs and symptoms of psoriasis :
  • Plaques of red, inflamed skin, often covered with loose, silver-colored scales. These plaques may be itchy and painful and sometimes crack and bleed. In severe cases, the plaques will grow and merge into one another, covering large areas.
  • Disorders of the fingernails and toenails, including discoloration and pitting of the nails. The nails may also begin to crumble or detach from the nail bed.
  • Scaly plaques on the scalp.
  • Small areas of bleeding where the involved skin is scratched.

Rosacea- a kind of skin problem

Rosacea is a chronic, inflammatory skin condition which principally affects the face. Rosacea causes facial redness and produces small, red, pus-filled pustules (bumps). Rosacea worsens with time if left untreated. It is often mistaken for acne or eczema, or some other skin allergy.
Approximately 1 in every 20 Americans - 14 million people - are estimated to be affected with rosacea. As it is frequently misdiagnosed the incidence may be a lot higher. A Gallup survey revealed that 78% of Americans do not know anything about rosacea, its symptoms or what to do about it.
The following lists the signs and symptoms through a classification system that rosacea experts created. To be diagnosed with rosacea, a person must have at least one of the primary features. They also tend to have several secondary features.

Primary Features of Rosacea

The following are the primary features of rosacea, and a person must have one or more of these on the mid-face.
Flushing that comes and goes
Persistent flushing
Bumps and pimples
Visible blood vessels
While having one or more of these features does not mean a person has rosacea, without one of these features a diagnosis of rosacea is rare.

Secondary Features of Rosacea

Rosacea sufferers with primary features also tend to have one or more of the following signs and symptoms, which are the secondary features. However, some people may experience only one or more of these secondary features:
Burning or stinging of facial skin
Raised red patches
Appearance of dry skin
Facial swelling
Eye problems, such as burning or itching, sties or chalazia (cyst of the eyelid)
One or more primary feature (listed above) on another area of the body
Thickening of the skin, such as rhinophyma, which is a thickening of the skin on the nose.

Four Subtypes of Rosacea:
Rosacea experts created four distinct subtypes (when primary and secondary features commonly occur together). They agree that rosacea patients may have the signs and symptoms of more than one subtype at the same time.

Subtype 1: Facial Redness, Flushing, Visible Blood Vessles
Subtype: Erythematotelangiectatic type rosacea

Signs and symptoms:
Flushing and persistent redness of the central face (main characteristicc)
Visible blood vessels often seen
Swelling of the central face
Stinging and burning sensations
Dry skin, roughness or scaling
A history of flushing (This alone is common among patients with this subtype.

Subtype 2: Bumps and Pus-filled Lesions
Subtype: Papulopustular rosacea

Signs and symptoms:
Acne-like bumps and pus-filled lesions form, which is why this subtype is often called “acne rosacea.” The breakouts tend to come and go and may appear along with persistent facial redness, primarily on the central face.
Burning and stinging sensations may occur
Visible blood vessels may be present

Subtype 3: Thickening Skin
Subtype: Phymatous rosacea
Signs:

Thickening skin
Irregular skin texture and enlarging skin, especially of the nose—may also occur on the chin, forehead, cheeks and ear
Visible blood vessels or large pores may appear in the affected area
This subtype frequently occurs with or follows another subtype.

Subtype 4: Eye Problems
Subtype: Ocular rosacea

 What are Comedones?

Whiteheads, also known as milia or closed comedones, are hard white bumps caused by the collection of oil and dead skin cells inside pores. True whiteheads are not hard or swollen, and they do not contain pus. If a clogged pore is covered with skin, it is a whitehead, but if the pore opens to the skin's surface, it oxidizes and becomes a blackhead. The key to skin care for acne is consistency. An overnight cure has not been found. But using good skin care methods aids in the daily, steady improvement of follicle health. Since acne is not caused by eating certain foods, restricting the diet is not helpful. Since it is also not caused by "dirty" skin, excessively scrubbing does not help and can even make the skin more irritated.
The best skin care for comedones consists of once-a-day cleansing with a mild soap or facial scrub to aid in the removal of excess sebum and dead skin cells. Oil-based makeup should not be used since these can contribute to the buildup of oil in the follicles.

Water-based makeup labeled as non-comedogenic can be used safely. Treatment for White head and Black head: One of the most effective methods you can use to get rid of whiteheads at home consists of steaming your face over a basin of boiling water for five to 10 minutes.
Steaming opens the pores and allows the blemish to drain more easily. After steaming, you can gently push the whitehead out of the pore. This requires delicacy, as you may cause scars or broken veins if you try to force out a stubborn whitehead.
Apple cider vinegar – Believed to help normalize your skin's natural pH balance, apple cider vinegar may help with all types of blemishes, including whiteheads. For the best results, dab the liquid onto the affected area just after steaming, or just after washing your face with a mild cleanser. Do not rinse.
Honey – Honey contains antibacterial properties believed to help improve acne, including blackheads and whiteheads. Apply honey directly to problem areas after thoroughly cleansing the skin. Leave on for about 10 minutes, and rinse off with warm water.
Lemon juice – Lemon juice dries excess oil and may help expedite the healing of whiteheads and other pimples. Wipe fresh lemon juice onto your whiteheads with a cotton ball just before bedtime. The blemish may disappear by morning. If not, repeat until each night until it's gone.

HOME REMEDY FOR REMOVING SUN TAN

Curd is one of the best remedy to reduce tan. Apply curd on face for 5 min and wash it off.

For more effectve results add turmeric to curd and leave it on for 20 min, as turmeric is a natural bleach, this will make skin fairer.

Tomato is also known for reducing tan, rub it all over your face and wash after 15 min with luke warm water.

Mix sandalwood powder with coconut oil and almond oil to make a paste. Apply this paste on your skin and leave it for half an hour before washing off with cold water.

Apply cucumber juice on your face for 10 minutes after tanning.  Vitamin C in cucumber juice can moisturize your skin naturally and help you improve your skin tone.  You can also rub freshly cut slices of cucumber on your skin.

An effective home remedy to cure the problem of dark skin would be to mix 1 tsp of milk powder, 1 tsp of honey, 1 tsp of lemon juice and ½ tsp of almond oil. Make a paste and apply this on the face. Apart from removing the tan, it would also make the skin shine.

It is advisable to increase in the intake of water. The more water you have the more toxins flush out from the body and hence have better glowing skin. As per the diet, include whole cereals, vegetables, fruits, pulses etc into your diet.

Take some oatmeal along with curd and tomato juice. Apply this mixture on the face and keep it for about 20 minutes. Wash your face with cold water.

Potato acts as a very good bleaching agent. Slice a potato and keep them over the face. This would lighten the marks.

BRIDAL MAKE UP :
  • The bride is the queen! She must calm down and realise that there are others in the family to take care of the wedding, or hire a wedding planner, as stress leads to pimples/acne which leave marks and are difficult to take care of just before the wedding. The bride must learn to put her feet up and enjoy.

  • When you are stressed your eating habits go awry. You have a chocolate every night while reading a book. Chocolates can make you put on all the extra kilos. Avoid fattening foods such as this and oily snacks like pakoras.
  • Moisturize your entire body to keep it soft

  • Visit a professional makeup artist. You can’t analyse how the makeup would look against lighting. Don’t over-do makeup; it shouldn’t look like you have painted your face with colours.

  • Get proper sleep. Late nights and lack of sleep can lead to under eye dark circles and make you look dull.

  • Don’t go for a girls vacation before the wedding and come back tanned. The tan looks especially bad on the dark complexioned as the skin gets darker. Don’t bleach the body to get rid of the tan, it spoils the skin.

What is Melasma?

Melasma generally occurs when estrogen and/or progesterone stimulate pigmentation hormones, causing dark brown or grey, irregular sized patches on the face. The condition, also called chloasma or the mask of pregnancy, occurs most frequently in darker skinned women, but can also occur in lighter-skinned people of both sexes.
Melasma is primarily seen among women who are pregnant, taking birth control pills or using hormone replacement therapy. In general, the patches on the skin appear over time, and at first may resemble small moles. The patches are located on the cheeks, forehead and nose, and their irregularity in shape indicates the condition. When a pregnancy ends or hormone treatment is discontinued, the patches usually disappear in a few months.

Symptoms:

Melasma doesn't cause any other symptoms besides skin discoloration but may be of great cosmetic concern.

Melasma treatment:

The principle treatment options include topical hypopigmenting agents, chemical peels, laser therapy and superficial dermabrasion. Treatment involves sun blocks, bleach, and time. First-line therapy for melasma should consist of fixed triple combinations. Where patients have either sensitivity to the ingredients or a triple combination therapy is unavailable, other compounds with dual ingredients (hydroquinone plus glycolic acid) or single agents (4% hydroquinone, 0.1% retinoic acid, or 20% azelaic acid) may be considered as an alternative. In patients who failed to respond to therapy, options for second-line therapy include peels either alone or in combination with topical therapy. Lasers should rarely be used in the treatment of this skin condition. I am not aware of a melasma cure. A combination of tretinoin cream and a bleaching cream containing hydroquinone may be helpful in fading some types of melasma. Occasionally, chemical peels or topical steroid cream can be helpful. In severe cases, laser treatment can be used to remove the dark pigment. For temporary help, make up can be used. Salicylic acid peels are not effective in the treatment of melasma when added to twice-daily 4% hydroquinone cream.

Home Remedies for Melasma

This skin disorder can be treated in the home by using simple remedies for melasma. So we are presenting some of the simple and effective home remedies for melasma.

Simple steps for gorgeous Eye make-up:

Prep your eyes with concealer :
First and foremost step for eye make-up is covering the dark circles.Firstly put some drops of concealer start at the inner corner where skin tends to be darkest, then under the pupil and the third on the outer edge. Pat, never rub with your ring finger until it disappears.

Apply eye base to your lid
Eye base is the secret to keeping your shadow in place for hours. Without properly priming your lid first, your eyeshadow will likely end up a greasy line in your crease.

 Follow with eyeliner
Dark eyeshadows work great as eyeliners. Wet a slanted brush, then dip in a dark eyeshadow. Line eyes as close to the upper lashes as possible from the inner corner to the outer corner.

Apply eyeshadow.
It's great to use a three-toned shadow and build from lids to brow. Allowing them to blend into each other like a rainbow is gorgeous, according to celebrity makeup artist Mally Roncal. Start with a light color that almost matches your lid. Sweep the color across the lid and up to your browbone. Follow with a medium color across your lid only. Build on this with a darker color in the crease. Blend the colors well.

Brighten your eyes with a highlighter
This step involves only the inside part of the eye. Putting a bit of your lightest eyeshadow in the inner corner of your eye will brighten it significantly.

Highlight your brow Take the same light eyeshadow and dab it on your browbone, concentrating on your mid-brow outward. Blend with your finger.

 Curl lashes
An eyelash curler will make even long lashes look more gorgeous. For added effect, you can heat the curler under a blowdryer for a couple seconds.

Apply mascara
Place the wand of your mascara brush at the bottom of lashes and wiggle back and forth. Follow with another few sweeps of the wand. Apply to bottom lashes as well.

Many of us are skin conscious. We often want our skin to look young and healthy and we really do something just to protect our skin from whatever possible harms there may be in our environment. Well, our skin is our largest organ performing several functions.

Protect your skin from sun:

Use sunscreen. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15. When you're outdoors, reapply sunscreen every two hours — or more often if you're swimming or perspiring.
Seek shade. Avoid the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when the sun's rays are strongest.
Wear protective clothing. Cover your skin with tightly woven long-sleeved shirts, long pants and wide-brimmed hats. Also consider laundry additives, which give clothing an additional layer of ultraviolet protection for a certain number of washings, or special sun-protective clothing — which is specifically designed to block ultraviolet rays.

Treat your skin gently:

Limit bath time. Hot water and long showers or baths remove oils from your skin. Limit your bath or shower time, and use warm — rather than hot — water.
Avoid strong soaps. Strong soaps and detergents can strip oil from your skin. Instead, choose mild cleansers.
Shave carefully. To protect and lubricate your skin, apply shaving cream, lotion or gel before shaving. For the closest shave, use a clean, sharp razor. Shave in the direction the hair grows, not against it.
Pat dry. After washing or bathing, gently pat or blot your skin dry with a towel so that some moisture remains on your skin.
Moisturize dry skin. If your skin is dry, use a moisturizer that fits your skin type. For daily use, consider a moisturizer that contains SPF.

Manage stress:

Uncontrolled stress can make your skin more sensitive and trigger acne breakouts and other skin problems. To encourage healthy skin — and a healthy state of mind — take steps to manage your stress. Set reasonable limits, scale back your to-do list and make time to do the things you enjoy. The results might be more dramatic than you expect.

Eat healthy diet:

A healthy diet can help you look and feel your best. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins. The association between diet and acne isn't clear — but some research suggests that a diet rich in vitamin C and low in unhealthy fats and processed or refined carbohydrates might promote younger looking skin.

What are Freckles?

These are small flat tanned spots that can appear on the skin. Most of the time, they get no bigger than the head of a nail. These spots can multiple over time, and they can develop randomly on the skin for no real reason. Although, there are some things that can cause freckles to appear more often. For example, too much exposure to the sun can cause a lot of freckles.

* Exfoliate the skin at least once or twice a week which will help to remove dead and sun-damaged skin cells on your skin. The new cells under the skin wouldn’t have had much sun exposure and they will still have freckles which will be very lighter.
* Use a skin lightening cream on the skin as they contain lot of different ingredients including Burberry extract, hydroquinone, liquor ice extract and mulberry extract which can help to reduce dark spots on the skin.
* Spread a vitamin C serum on your freckles which has is expected to have been very effective in lightening dark spots. It can also brighten the skin’s overall complexion.
* Consult a dermatologist who can give a prescription to prevent freckles. Try to use more intense bleaching creams as they can help to fade freckles during regular application.

What is an Acne?

Acne is a skin condition that causes pimples or "zits." This includes whiteheads, blackheads, and red, inflammed patches of skin.

 SELF-CARE

Steps you can take to help your acne:
                  * Clean your skin gently with a mild, nondrying soap (such as Dove, Neutrogena, Cetaphil, CeraVe, or Basics). Remove all dirt or make-up. Wash once or twice a day, including after exercising. However, avoid scrubbing or repeated skin washing.
                   * Shampoo your hair daily, especially if it is oily. Comb or pull your hair back to keep the hair out of your face.

What NOT to do:

                   * Try not to squeeze, scratch, pick, or rub the pimples. Although it might be tempting to do this, it can lead to skin infections and scarring.
                   * Avoid wearing tight headbands, baseball caps, and other hats
                   * Avoid touching your face with your hands or fingers.
*Avoid greasy cosmetics or creams. Take off make-up at night. Look for water-based or "noncomedogenic" formulas. Noncomedogenic products have been tested and proven not to clog pores and cause acne.

If these steps do not clear up the blemishes, try over-the-counter acne medications. You apply these products directly to your skin.

                 * They may contain benzoyl peroxide, sulfur, resorcinol, or salicylic acid.
                 * They work by killing bacteria, drying up skin oils, or causing the top layer of your skin to peel.
                 * They may cause redness or peeling of the skin.

A small amount of sun exposure may improve acne a little, but mostly it just hides the acne. However, too much exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet rays is not recommended because it increases the risk for skin cancer.

Beauty regime for soft and lustrous hair

If you have the time and resilience, you can try the following natural beauty therapies for soft, lustrous, healthy hair.

Herbal vinegar rinse.
Prepare 200ml apple cider vinegar in a jar, add 3 tablespoons dried rosemary. Cover and allow to steep for 1 to 2 weeks, then strain the mixture. Use this as a final shampoo rinse, after the usual shampooing. Apple cider vinegar rebalances scalp pH and rosemary as an antiseptic, astringent and healing agent.

Banana treatment.
Bananas are full of nutrients and are good for treating dry, damaged and fragile hair. Just mash an over-ripe banana and work it through your hair. Cover your hair with a plastic shower cap for 30 minutes, then wash your hair thoroughly.

Avocado scrub.
Peel a ripe avocado, mix it with a teaspoon of wheat germ oil and a teaspoon of jojoba oil. Apply it to freshly washed hair and work it all the way to the ends. Cover your hair with a plastic shower cap for 15 to 30 minutes. Then rinse your hair thoroughly clean. Avocado moisturizes and strengthens hair shafts with protein.

Honey and egg hair mask.
Whisk 2 egg yolks with 3 tablespoons honey. Apply to your hair, let rest for 30 minutes under cover with a plastic shower cap. Then wash off with the usual shampoo. Egg yolk acts as an excellent moisturizing agent, while honey gives a rich gloss to your hair.

Mayonnaise scrub.
Instead of avocado, use mayonnaise as a good alternative. The egg in mayonnaise is a good source of protein for your hair. Apply to your hair, cover with a plastic shower cap for up to 1 hour. Then wash your hair thoroughly.

Deep-conditioning, hot-oil treatment.
Damp hair with warm water, then gently massage 2- 3 tablespoons of almond oil through your hair. Cover with a plastic shower cap and then wrap with warm towel for 15 minutes. Then wash hair thoroughly to remove the oil. Do this once a week.

Home-made hair conditioner.
Mix 60g olive oil and 60g aloe vera gel with 6 drops of rosemary and sandalwood essential oils. Apply into hair and leave for 1 hour, then rinse thoroughly. Olive oil is a natural emollient, aloe vera hydrates, while rosemary adds body and softness to your hair. Sandalwood gives your hair the smell of fresh fragrance.
